Bookkeeper / Administrator - East Lothian

Dickson Lewis are currently recruiting for a great opportunity for an experienced Accounts Clerk/Bookkeeper with administration skills to join a small and busy team in a friendly office near Gullane/ North Berwick.

If you are highly numerate and have a good understanding of accounts as well as good experience on Sage 50 and want to work in a varied role then this is an ideal job:

  • Basic accounts and data entry for 3 small companies
  • Sage 50 data entry and reporting
  • Raising and processing sales invoices
  • Checking, coding and processing purchase invoices
  • Writing up the cash book, bank and processing income
  • Dealing with invoice queries
  • Raising cheques
  • Reconciling bank and petty cash accounts
  • Issuing and recording petty cash
  • Checking analysing and reporting on utilities
  • Credit control
  • Excel spreadsheets, use and design
  • Typing: audio and copy, emails, letters, reports etc
  • Reception
  • Telephones
  • Processing payroll
  • Ordering stationery
  • Filing
  • Weekly backups
  • Tea & coffee for visitors
  • Archiving documents
  • Other office functions as required

Essential skills:

  • SAGE 50 Professional
  • Microsoft Office – including Excel to a high standard
  • Good team player
  • Own transport essential

Hours 30 per week (Mon- Fri with flexibility start/finish)
